Sellers

When a customer places an order, the payment is made in full to Enterprise Africa. We then transfer the funds to the seller, subtracting only the commission agreed upon in advance with the seller.

Enterprise Africa uses a shipping platform to book the shipments. The system automatically creates a shipping label. In case of dropshipping, we send the label to the seller to fill in together with the shipping invoice. The seller will need to present both documents when the logistics company collects your product. In case of local warehousing, the shipping label and invoice will be sent to the local logistics partner who will then action the process.

In the event of a return Enterprise Africa will notify the seller as well as coordinate the logistics for the return. In case of dropshipping, the buyer will be required to complete the shipping label. The seller has the option of using Enterprise Africa's return policy or using their own company’s return policy. If you wish to use your company's return policy, we will require the policy when uploading your product to our sales platform.

Sellers listing their products with Enterprise Africa have the choice of using local warehousing or shipping from your location to the customer (dropshipping). In the case of local warehousing, the goods are being sent to the local warehousing partner in Africa. The warehouse then dispatches the goods directly to the buyer. In the case of dropshipping, the seller is responsible to send the goods directly to the buyer after an order has been placed. Our logistics process is designed to ensure the most cost-effective shipping. It is therefore never shipped to Enterprise Africa as a trading partner.

In South Africa, online transactions are regulated under the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act. For the purposes of this Act, the "right of withdrawal" is instead known as the "cooling off period". This allows a consumer to cancel a transaction without giving any reason within 7 days without incurring any penalty. However, as the law only applies to consumers (B2C) , this protection is not granted to businesses (B2B). Therefore, there is no automatic "right of withdrawal" that applies to online business-to-business transactions in South Africa.
However, one possible protection would be ordinary contract law: if a party fails to perform its part of the agreement properly, a material breach of contract could be invoked. This would only apply if a party has not properly performed its part of the agreement, and not because a party has merely "changed its mind", as is the case with a right of withdrawal.
